Food style and pricing

In the Cripps venues our motto is  “Buy the best, cook it simply, serve it generously”, and at Healey our Head Chef (and local boy) Chris Cheeks delivers every time.

We like to make our food dramatic as well as delicious, and we are known for our BBQ specialities – cooked on a spectacular giant BBQ in the courtyard: whole lambs, sirloin steak bricks and butterflied legs of lamb.  Alternatively you can choose from our Rotisserie options, cooked in full view at the end of the Dining Room, and including whole chickens, whole suckling pig with roast apples, marinated shoulder of pork, and whole Gressingham duck.

We serve our food simply – generally in feast style on boards and in bowls to the centre of the tables, or plated if you prefer.

 

Pricing and an instant online quote

Healey has a unique online quote system where, in a few minutes, you can get a very accurate quote for a the combined Hire and Catering costs for your wedding.  It’s accessible from the Availability page here. 

If you click on any date, the Hire Price for that date will appear at the foot of the page.  To the right of the Hire Price is a quote button…click that and you’ll be taken into the quotation system.  

You can do as many times as you would like, and if you would like to talk through your online quote with a member of our team, just give us a call; we’d be delighted to talk it through.

Minimum Catering Order

We have a minimum catering order on specific dates, as follows;

  • Fridays between 1st May to 30th September  –    £4,000 ex VAT
  • Saturdays between 1st May to 30th September – £5,000 ex VAT
  • Saturdays between 1st October and 30th April – £3,000 ex VAT

 

All minimum costs are excluding drink sales.

When you do an online quote (see above) this will be calculated and a balancing amount will be added to bring the Catering cost to the minimum value.

There is no minimum spend if the barn hire is under £2800 at any time of year. This does not apply to dates when the barn hire is discounted.

 

Staffing Costs

These are shown separately rather than being included in the meal costs, which is difficult to do with an extended event like an all-day wedding.  On your quote you will see the projected staff numbers and hours.
